After several weeks, my puppy hates the leash yet. Aid will harness?
I tried to leash train my puppy Chihuahua during approximately one month and two weeks. She has been four months and after all this time acting in the same way with the belt as it did in the first week of training: all it does is sit there. I've tried using positive reinforcement, treats, different techniques, etc etc etc. I do not understand why he's so stubburn and not walk. I easily to teach his orders as sit, stay, come, up and down. Now that she is going for its last series of shots, I take her on short walks in the street. (Lo I did my training in my backyard). Do any of you have strap problems in training Chihuahuas or other small breed dogs? It will be a harness that goes around leg help? Any other suggestions???? Thanx!
The harness is not likely to make a difference. Chihuahua, are intelligent and can be stubborn. You need to be more stubborn he is. When you're at home, just out of the belt and eventually move. Stop dragging around to get used to it. Do not leave it when you're not there, I do not want to get hung up on something.
